Dover, Canterbury and Leeds Castle Sightseeing Tour

Private shore excursion day trip, from £65.00 per person

This private tour starts and ends in the town of Dover. After meeting your driver/guide you will be driven to the Dover White Cliffs visitor centre for a 15 minute leisurely walk for the best photo opportunities.

  • From there, you will depart for The City of Canterbury, known for its remarkable cathedral and historical but with a modern twist, town centre. Your driver/guide will take you through a tour of Canterbury Cathedral, and will advise you on when to take the Cathedral’s highly sought after blue badge history guided tour, which is based within the chapel and will walk with you through the hidden gems inside this overwhelmingly beautiful site while personalising your walk with local knowledge. After a visit to the Cathedral, you will have some free time in the city centre to shop for some locally crafted souvenirs.

  • A short 40-minute drive across Kent Downs brings you to the striking site of Leeds Castle. Set across 500 acres of parkland and an idyllic lake, a fortress that used to be a haven for the Royals has opened it’s doors to the public and can be explored on foot. You will have time to walk through the beautifully kept gardens and historical castle at your own pace, and maybe even enjoy a glass of mead with some lunch at The Gatehouse restaurant!

  • As our final stop, we will be returning to Dover to explore the magnificent Dover Castle, known as the last standing defender of England. Sitting above the iconic White Cliffs, the castle has protected the land from invasion for over 20 centuries and is one of England’s oldest medieval castles. Here, we are either able to guide you through the Castle’s grounds for the best photo opportunities and advise you on the most popular attractions within the site, such as The War Time Tunnels, or leave you to explore the grounds independently.
